I am all for a poll on whether to use powerups or not , I was so lucky and think I had 3 feathers with bridgy and the outcome could have been so different
just so glad that me n Paul managed to get away from the young man with one leg ! if he had won then I was back to rgt and blocking him on here ^_^
o the abuse there would have been
I was caught out by how fast the start was and was playing catch up after about 3 seconds !
really enjoyed it and thanks for setting up - really good turn out
worthy of a massive spreadsheet ^_^
always enjoyed that course for some reason , there's a route around here that is similar with ups and downs and twists and turns but in the country and I really like that , something different all the time rather than just a long flat road
have I ever mentioned I hate the fens
For the avoidance of any doubt I'm 100% sure the end result last night between me and you Lee would have been the same if there were no PU's. It was more a psychological blow

Do you know you can activate a PU with the ATV remote by pressing the "play" button? I have my remote mounted to my handlebars so a quick press of one button I do actually find quite easy now.
No I didn’t know that !
Been taking phone in there to make it easier as by the time I have managed to scroll to the right button on atv , it’s nullified any benefits of a power up
Nice tip 👍

It would be much more fun it they took mario carts interpretation of power ups, drop a banana skin etc.. it would be much closer to an actual real life group ride ^_^
You know what? That would be brilliant! A race with banana peels, turtle shells and the like would be so fun and infuriating at the same time

Next week's course is two laps of 2 Village Loop in Makuri Islands.

An interesting one in terms of bike choice as it's a mix of tarmac and dirt roads. So depending on where you think you'll want or need to make the difference, there's an argument for either road or gravel bike (or bike change?!)
I probably shouldn't give this sort of information away to everyone in case someone is planning some revolutionary tactics, but this course is almost certainly a road bike only one. Each lap is eight miles long, but the dirt sections make up less than 2 miles total, plus they are split across the course making bike changes not worthwhile as you'd have to do it four times per lap.

Also, wasn't it originally three laps?

That’s probably true. Although when I fell off the back lee had dropped a feather and you followed behind him. If lee doesn’t drop the power up maybe the pace doesn’t rise there as he was setting the pace.

No doubt I was struggling last night. I may have mentioned the broken toe once or twice (7 times 12 maximum!). So I can’t say I wouldn’t of got dropped at some point anyway. But in that moment it effected the race. Have I mentioned I’m not a big fan of power ups?!

It's on the 13th at 13:00

Also, I read it's on a World War II aerodrome - will remind you of your childhood then ;)

Didn't clock the "13" thing. Must be my fading brain.

What was World War 2? Slipped my mind.

Zimmerframe all ready to go :okay:

I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before, but for anyone who runs Zwift on a Windows PC, you can use a handlebar-mounted BLE button with an AutoHotKeys script to activate PUs and do other menu functions…

It's so much funnier, because you're way better than me at 35 :notworthy:

Good luck!
You're quite possibly the youngest/second youngest (@mjd1988 ?) rider on here. Not many below 50 ... you should be showing us oldies a clean pair of cleats ... seems you're not working hard enough Peter  You was beaten by a 52 year old asthmatic last night
