I've never worked it out on an hourly basis.
That new challenge they brought out "Factory Tour" at the beginning of the year I worked out it would take about 2 years to get the full aero socks.

I think I'm about 68% of the first part now. (That's the one based on your Watt.hours of effort).

Forgot about that challenge - just checked, I'm at 18%

Just chalked up another 1.5 hours of easy. Probably added another 0.01% of that, but more importantly it's making progress on the TT bike upgrades (while not sapping my legs for ZRL tomorrow).

ZRL this morning. Held on the first, died on the second climb

I usually watch your race on a Tuesday morning if I have time as a recon for my own race in the evening - not that helpful today though with Cat C's using a different route!

I haven't ridden my bike at all for a bout a week and not raced for 2 weeks (because of othe life stuff!) so I'll either be really out of condition or wonderfully fresh and rested for tonight's race!

Yeah - can't help you much for Country to Coastal this week. Be warmed up though, it starts with a punchy uphill effort.

That was painful watching you blow up on the final climb! Well done for keeping the guys a few seconds behnd you at bay to the finish to keep your position
Thanks - I had my eye on them and I wanted to punch hard on the steep parts to destroy any hope they had of closing the gap.
In the end one of my team-mates pipped them on the line, which made me laugh when I saw the results

I went quite deep on the first climb and didn't really have quite enough recovery to do it all again so soon after

Yeah I hope I can get away early enough to get a decent warm up in for the start of this one!

I am - nothing spectacular happened!

What, you hit Zen level on Zwift, and no enlightened transcendental moment

What a letdown

I set up a Saturday meet up on My Whoosh. Its at 5 UK time.
Because its free everyone is welcome and I don't think it will interfere with the Zwift events.
Its all new so I'm not sure how the start works etc. But if we all start right at 5 it should be fair. But maybe give me a 15 minute head start.

Hope to see you on the starting line.

Boys day down the pub for me, sorry. I don’t drink much these days, so could be rather messy 🤮

Have fun.

Quite enjoyed the ZRL race tonight. Just me and Bram from the Cyclechat contingent, and three Americans (some last minute confusion meant we only had 5)

Very hard start straight into a 3 minute climb, and then everything mostly chilled out until the final couple of climbs from around 20km in. Bram and I were the only two from our team to stay in the front group over the climbs.

It was uphill for the last 700m so ended up being a long, hard slog of a "sprint". I managed to hang on for 10th and Bram was 14th - great effort considering he's still suffering with flu symptoms!

I surprised myself with how well I did in ZRL tonight, finishing 7th out of 47, best result from my team.

Having been dropped on every single ascent in last week's race (caught up on the flats afterwards most times), I figured the two hills this week would see the same result, but I just about managed to hang on to the tail-enders of the lead pack on the first basically by sprinting through the segment banner at the top (if this was a points race, I think I'd have got FTS).

Up until that point the ride had been done at an insane pace for no apparent reason - some of the teams seemed to think they could race the flats and try and drop other teams, but all it did was tire them out. This worked to my advantage as the pace on the second climb was a bit easier - yes, a select group of leaders got away and the rest of the pack was strung out all over the road, but I got to the halfway point of the climb still within touching distance of other riders and so as soon as we got to the figure eight bit, I hit the feather power up and absolutely went hell for leather. Ended up in a group of four riders, only 6 seconds behind the leading eight and 5 clear of the next group.

As it flattened out, me and one other rider launched again, we caught and passed two who'd been dropped from the front, then as we got to the final bridge, I found myself a second clear of the other guy (not sure how) and closing in on the front pack who I'm guessing were playing games before contesting the finishing sprint. I was visibly closing on them but not quickly enough and my avatar finally popped its head up to show it was in their draft with maybe 50 metres to go - too late to actually catch.

Team finished 5th but we only had 5 riders, so that's pretty good really. We stay top of the league but only by 1 point and there's a good chance the team in second will beat us on next week's race as they are VERY strong on the points races, although they did have a guy DQ'd tonight for going over the power limits, so if he can't race next week that might help us.

Our team won the race overall, I came 3rd and we had a 5th and 8th too. The guy who won our race was doing the on/off riding style so is going to be flagged with WTRL.
Like you @steverob the pace was pretty silly on the flats to the climbs. Riders going off the front and trying to make a break. I kept telling the rest of my team not to chase, let the 'blob' hunt them down. We got to climb 1 with 29 out of 48 starters. Was hard but I went to the front and tried to regulate the pace to something that I could hold, trying to stop others coming past and it worked.
Climb 2 was similar then the 'on/off' guy made a break at the top and this split the field as others tried to chase and blew up. I got over above 8th but made ground on the descent. I was too far behind 1st and 2nd, but of the 5 others in my little group I had enough of a sprint left to take 3rd place.
I don't think we can fail to win the league now; we're 7 points clear with one race to go. It's a really great team, a great spirit and team work, lots of talking and encouragement on discord. It's definitely got be back into the race mentality again.

Well after last night’s final climb, my ZMAP score went through the roof and apparently according to my team captain, WTRL now has me listed as a C.

Interestingly Zwift and ZP say I’m still a D and I calculate it as 3.19908 (therefore below the 3.2 cut-off) so can only assume it’s a rounding thing.
