Presumably the bike of choice for Race 1 will be a TT bike?

Since draft is off for race 1, it makes the most sense to me. But it should be free choice. You'll definitely want to change back for race 2 though or you won't get any draft

another session done and the inconsistent resistance is back  goign from 2.5 and leaving the peleton behind up to 5 w/kg and getting dropped even though the group was steady flat 2.8 w/kg pacer group .Odd thing was i was increasing gears to keep up on the hills .Very odd !
Only just noticed a video about trainer calibration via zwift which i didnt know was a thing , how easy is it to do ?

After ordering the Victory late on Tuesday evening, given the BF sales hammering couriers are in full force and Jetblack site said 3-5 business days, it was a bit of a shock to wake today to an email from DHL, saying they would be delivering a parcel (bizarrely, no shipment email from Jetblack, but DHL ref # matched my Jetblack order #)! :hyper:

Feet attached, bike attached, Jetblack app launched.

Current firmware 4.5, did I want to update to 4.23? Not really no, but apparently it's labelled wrongly, it is really 4.05 so yes!

Then wifi option appeared in app that wasn't showing on "4.5," looks to just be 2.5GHz band which is fine, 5GHz has more bandwidth but weaker strength to pass through walls; doors etc.

Then realised I could keep Zwift Play controllers in place and keep Clicks in little box, no apparent funtionality benefits to swap such as Clicks having wifi etc.

Second desperately needed coffee of day consumed, time to do 10mins+ in Zwift and then do spindown calibration on the Jetblack app (not normally needed outside of transportation or major ambient temperature changes, self calibrating after 3sec+ of no pedalling), plus compare the numbers to my 4iiii...

Plenty of time before Eric Min and MVDP break the internet Zwift at 1600 GMT with the annual Thanksgiving group ride on Spinfinity.

Question to the collective hive mind - have Zwift re-introduced the sticky draft bug? I've noticed recently that coming up to a rider who is only going marginally slower (e.g. I'm 31 kph, they ate 30kph) - so I gradually catch them. Once I get on to their wheel I suddenly lock on and my speed drops to 30kph.

I'm on the Feugo flats, ERG mode, so I know my speed should be fairly constant if I'm not in someone's draft. If I drop out of ERG to up the power to get past them, then drop back to ERG mode, I then go back to 31 kph again.

Anyone else notice this?

I believe you have to be going faster than the person in front or putting out more power to get by. So yes I think there is a small amount of sticky draft. I have noticed in steering races that it is easier to steer round people than the try and ride through them, which kinda makes sense.

I was going marginally faster hence why I caught them up, but not significantly faster ... hence I 'stuck' to their wheel. Didn't seem as pronounced as the old sticky bug, but definitely seems to be back.
Slightly annoying but at least I'm not imagining it. Just need to make sure I add a little extra oomph if I want to go past someone in a race haha

This is shaping up well. A few from here. A few from ZR.app discord. None from my IRL bike club and none from my DIRT ZRL team (yet) although most of them are in the US, so Thanksgiving weekend.

I think you need to be 2kmh faster or something, but not sure where I heard that. It's something like that anyway.
