Accidentally did a Masters race today 😁. I am playing at filling in my Power Duration Curve (indoor) and decided to have a bash at my best 1 min power. I like the Legsnapper for this duration and there just happened to be a Masters Race in Innsbruck when I was free.

Agreed it a good thing sticky Watts is picked up I have seen blatant cheating in YouTube videos . At 1 point of the race this guy got of the front slightly and I was watching his W/kg compared to the guy leading the chase and I saw nothing but a constant figure . Like I say he completed in DRS on Tuesday and nothing was flagged so unless it's a issue that just occurred do different race organiser use different checking protocols

I think ladder runs an algorithm on the .FIT files in the background, whereas all other series rely on people reporting a rider and then further manual investigation. We had one reported in DRS this week, with flat-top peaks for the whole race. Clear case of sticky watts.

What is impossible to prove one way or another is whether it's intentional or machine issues etc. But that doesn't matter, it's a DQ either way in cases like this. So we avoid using the C word (cheating) - as cheating requires intent.

His power file , thoughts

I'd agree that just looking at that, it's not one where it's particularly obvious that there's a problem.
I do believe Ladder Race control do manually check even though the initial flag is automated. Your rider might get more detail if he puts the ride file through Zwiftalizer?

I can appreciate the frustration if it's an equipment issue and he's not aware of any issues with his Wattbike

Is there a video of the event , it might show his W/kg fluctuating in a rhythm?
No video I know off but at one stage in the race he got of the front and I was watching his W/kg compared to the chasers and saw nothing untoward .it certainly wasn't sticky Watts as most people now it . Just a spiky power file . The problem if it's equipment related and his watt bike is serviced and calibrated what can he do ,the only way to find out if it's a 1 off as this was his first ladder race is to do another and see if you get DQed !! again . Don't think him or the captain have had much feedback from the organisers
