Not with the London Oyster 60+ card. It costs £10 and lasts till full retirement.I think to get the bus pass a person needs to be in receipt of their state pension?
Was away in Scarborough last weekend. Down in Devon next. So Norton Hill will have to wait a while. I intend to crack without getting off and walking .Happy birthday Pete are you going for a celebratory ride Norton hill is calling
I felt it though .Happy Birthday, you didn't look 59 on the CC ride
Trouble is I still have to go to work so can't go on Wednesday's .You can also get the B&Q oldies discount card - 10% off every wednesday
Happy birthday fella I'm 55 today too. Currently holed up at the Oktoberfest having a ball. You've got loads to look forward to pal. Get the bike out and ride like you're six again , it's ace !Turned 60 today. What have I got to look forward to? How to I go about getting bus pass (even though we don't really have a bus from our village), do I have to apply or does it come automatically through the post?
As you can see I'm not used to this being, officially, old lark.
OK, you're splitting hairs, if you defer your pension you can still get your bus pass. Happy now?
Round our way, there is one open until 9pm.Trouble is I still have to go to work so can't go on Wednesday's .
I'm going to be stubborn here. It is a bus pass, and a tube pass, and a suburban train pass, and a DLR pass. It probably even works on trams but I'm not going over to Croydon to find out. And it will get me near to the homes of around 10 million people for free. Absolutely no use on the south coast or the Scottish Republic, I concede, but I insist that, insofar as it will get me onto public transport for free, it actually is a bus pass (amongst other passes). But a bus pass covers much more than London.
