The gradient is about 8% where the bike is. The road goes up and over the right.

There's a fairly long lead-up at more gentle gradients. The very steep bit is not that long.

Yeah that's my problem too, only ride i really knew where i was going was the fife ride

I'd have been very disappointed if you'd managed to get lost on Arran as it only has 3 roads

Now that is one interesting site! That's it, I'm attempting the Crow Road soon! It doesn't look as bad as. Thought :-)

the crow road isn`t that bad...it never gets to steep.....the Tak Ma Doon is a different ball game

Not in Ecosse, but not far beyond the border if you guys & girls haven't seen this yet ... a NIGHT RIDE in late September!
@mcshroom has been known to join CC Ecosse rides in the past, it would be fun to re-pay the visit ...
