£2000 what would you buy?

I'd go and look for someone trustworthy to build me a frame. Then, with whatever money is left, I'd go searching for components to build it up as I wanted it.

(this is what I actually do, except that, having started, I can then replace any part–including the frame–as and when the fancy takes me).

((I do go to some lengths to avoid any bike of mine having a complete, unadulterated groupset–the word irritates me))

I am about to cash in a small pension and am in the happy position of wanting to buy a carbon bike for around £2000.

i think i would get a 2nd hand cdf and bank the rest

Bought the Cube Agree 105 with a £500 discount which is a fantastic bike, though the price for Ultegra is a bit much. There is also the Attain which has had good reviews. But too be honest, that's a great price for the spec you've got.
