A Hallett Fast Road. Zona stainless, fancy bilaminate lugs, clearcoat finish.

Just googled him. Gorgeous bikes.

I would start with this Genesis Croix de Fer frameset (Reynolds 725). Sadly they don't do it in this colour any more though, which is a shame as I think it is a thing of beauty!

I would then kit it out with a good quality touring wheelset from Spa Cycles, tyres, decent bars and tape, and a Shimano 105 groupset coupled with a pair of TRP HY-DR cable operated hydraulic brakes.. With the estimated £1000 left over, I would take it on a tour of the continent.

Focus izalco max.

Either the ultegra version third one in or wait for euro sales for etap versions. Me probably disc version.

Light and different to most big brands

Some good ideas, cheers everyone.
It’s replacing a Bianchi, so the natural choice is another Bianchi. Took a trip down to the local dealer and eying up an Oltre XR3. They also had a rather nice Madone there, which I had spotted online too. Both of those bikes were floating my boat, as per the Specialissima, but the latter would be frame only for my budget plus a few quid. Very nice though.

If I went down the Madone route, that would mean turning my Noah SL into the everyday climbing bike. It’s more than capable, but kind of defeating the object tbh.

The XR3 is somewhat more suitable as the all day ride with the countervail tech involved.

Edit: I don’t do Discs, sorry @Heigue'r.
