Confirming that I'll be coming along.

Forecast looks good so the ride out is on. Are the Branchton people OK with navigation to the ferry terminal - or would you like me to stop off there?
If you're not there to guide them, then the easiest directions are:
Come out of the station and you are on the A78 Greenock/Largs main road. Turn left and go downhill for about 100 yards to the first set of lights and turn right, taking you onto Cumberland Road.
Follow Cumberland Road all the way into Gourock, passing a cemetery at the top of a hill slight bump. Once in Gourock, keep the river to your right and follow the main road westwards to McInroys point, where we will meet you. Total distance probably about 4 miles.
Sorry I don't have the techie skills to post a map ..... might stretch to a Garmin route later, given time .

Garmin route here. It doesn't follow the route as described above, but is about half a mile shorter (3.2 miles) and on quieter roads through Gourock.
That link doesn't work for me.

Anyway, my route is to cross the A78 on the footbridge, and then more or less go straight on and/or downhill until you hit the seafront a few hundred yards from the ferry. See the first bit of my trip that way last weekend here. You can inspect the contours of the climb up from Loch Striven while you're there...

I'll endeavour to be at Branchton no later than 1026. See you all tomorrow.

Hopefully the link will work now; my privacy settings were on the private side! Same route, but I was going round Cumberland Road then left down George Road, rather than climbing the hill over past the hospital.

Trying to decide if I need to bring a lock....
Don't, we did not need one last year.
Anyway, I will watch the bikes while indulging in my bad habit
Youse can bring me coffee outside: we did not stop last year, when we wanted coffe in Bute, there was no nearby to the ferry place, remember? We ended up getting a quick ice cream to go.

Well, I've been lurking around this thread for a while and I think it's about time I got myself out on a CC Ecosse ride... I know it's a bit last minute, but I'll see those meeting under the clock at Glasgow Central (in plenty of time) to catch the 9.50. Just need to get my kit together (possibly including waterproofs, just in case) and get an early night!

Nice one; see you there.
I make that about 18 of us now.
*Blind panic* :surrender: and looks for an excuse for not turning up !
