I have never been able to touch my toes
it has never been possible even when I was quite fit

turns out that my knees are hypermobile - bend sideways in ways that they are not supposed to do
and bend back wards at the knees further than ideal
Only found out a few months ago - I just assumed it was normal
and it has affected how I walk - which has caused problems with my feet and knees in several ways
which si why I have never jogged - when I have tried I have do it a few times then been walking with a stick for a few months after

Had to give up badminton for a similar reason - but I did get about 15 years of it in
As far as toe nales is concerned I can bend my knee so I can get at them
but these days I can only hold it there for a few seconds before it start hurting and gets worse quickly

And it will be the women who will do most of the lifting, so let's hope they benefit from the weightlifting.

Not necessarily so as a male student nurse I did plenty of lifting. A taste of one’s patience and compassion is to help someone to the toilet undress them get them to sit on it. Clean them up, dress them on only for they to decide not have finished.😳😱😱😱

I deliberately said "most" for a reason.

Along with my sister I had to do the same for my father towards the end of his life.

He won't be saying that when he has to call for help to lift him off the crapper or when his bones are crumbling due to osteoporosis.

Push, pull, carry, stabilise, resist rotation plus balance and aerobic. Some impact exercise in the aerobic. Whilst progressing some, maintenance for the others.
