I was 50 a week and a bit ago and thus am still 50 today.

I recall thinking as a kid - what will I be doing in the year 2000 when I am 42? 42 seemed really old then!

43 at the end of Feb. Still feel a lot younger, although when sticking on some false diamonds on my forehead for a fancy dress do before Xmas, I was depressed to realise that I had to avoid sticking them on the creases!

I shall be 46 until my next birthday. Sooooooo much fitter than I was 10 yrs ago that I wonder what the hell I was thinking back then! Mentally, however, I have never progressed beyond 14.

Apparently regular cyclists (and other sports I guess too) often are "biologically" younger anyway. Beeb has article about it again today:
