ALDI winter trousers... commando or not!?

The answer to 'what do I wear under Lycra cycle shorts' is of course, nothing. But what about the ALDI winter trousers? I find myself confused - they are sort of 'half and half'. Half lycra type material (on the outside) but the inside is a fluffy soft shell style fleece material. Is commando the way to go, or do I need to go invest in some proper cycling underwear (normal boxers chafe!)...

When I use my Lycra shorts its because its raining. I wear the tight fitting boxer shorts underneath and change these when a take my cycle shorts off. The fleece material should be ok for going commando but I would wash them first as the cheaper stuff gets your covered in black fluff, where black fluff shouldn't go

If it has a pad - commando.

If no pad - cycling shorts.

Have the winter trousers not got the coolmax pads? If so i am not planning on wearing anything......(no difference than normal padded lycra shorts/longs) other than perhaps the compression bottoms i got if it suits the weather/temps (depends if i get too hot....time will tell)

It has the same padding as the ALDI cycling shorts, I guess commando it is then!
