Preiser do them in their "O" scale(1:50) range.

"O" scale is 1:43.5 or at a push 1:48, I can get away with using animals across scales, and quite a lot on tabletop games where figures are somewhat more liberally scaled, but on the railway model it's a lot harder to persuade the eye to ignore the discrepancy.

A while back, I built an Airfix Tiger 1 and painted it alternate stripes of red & yellow.

Making items that work using steam, water and conductivity out of paper is only the first problem...

Naah. I'm saving all my screaming and snapping of pencils for that drawing catalogue I'm working on. Information is sketchy, a good bit of what's there is conflicting, but at least there's the (relative) safety of the IMechE archive...

Next major part of the power station; I'm not sure why I only have green card, probably because that's what I stole borrowed from my previous employer. Don't look too hard at those 'insulators' okay? they're all identical, no; really.

Time for painting...
