I used to get a bit nervous around wasps, but now they just annoy me.
However, if I saw one of these I would probably poo+pee, then run faster than Lance Armstrong on his Bike Down hill!

That's a hornet. They are not nearly as bad as they look even though they literally eat wasps for breakfast. We had a hornets nest in an old tree and fearing the worst tried to get rid of it. All attempts failed and we just had to live with them for the rest of the year; they were far less of a problem than wasps. They are fine insects.

Rats give me the creeps and when I'm out on the bike, dogs.
