Another Front Shifter Problem!

Hi All, I'm replacing a front gear cable onto a Shimano Tourney FD and I've hit a snag. Before tightening the cable I've turned the L screw fully clockwise ( I don't use the smallest chainring) and the H screw fully anticlockwise. I've then put the chain onto the smallest chainring, taken up any slack and then tightened the cable I now have a problem when I change down the gears they shift from the largest chainring to the smallest, missing the middle one altogether. No such problems changing upward though.

All sorted now. I put the chain on the front middle ring and rear lowest gear, then tightened up the cable and adjusted the barrel.
