This is a true story.

A friend's dad died a few years ago and I went to the wake. I had known the family well 20+ years ago but had little contact since. There was this extremely glamorous and good-looking foreign girl who looked to be well known by the family but at the same time seemed out of place as everyone else in the room was family or neighbours. I was leaving and was standing talking to my friend outside when this girl walked past, took something from the boot of a car and went back inside again. Curiosity got the better of me and so I asked -
"Mark, who is she?"
"Oh that was Dad's girlfriend."
"Really!" I said in some surprise as she looked mid to late 30s whereas the deceased was 72.
"Yes, really!" replied Mark and then added "Silly auld b*gger killed himself. A man his age wouldn't be up to a woman like that!"
