Managed a very slow 10k this morning. I won't even say how long it took!

Well done ! Got out and done it early too. The solitude is lovely isn’t it. Congrats !

Thanks! I went to that area of Fuerteventura back in 1998 at Castillo Club Lake a bit further inland, have you done Chipmunk Mountain yet? 😀

Nice ! Super cheap getaway for us. It’s quiet here. But for a re-charge holiday with fab weather it’s worked out perfect.

We planned on doing a trip to see the ground squirrel’s originally / before we got here . But along the coast here they are everywhere - living on the rocks on the shoreline ! So didn’t bother with a special trip in the end..

Ended up being 92.2km per the GPS, took ages (12:13.42 ie very slow), quite boring at bits, incredibly frustrating at others and I'll be feeling it for presumably weeks. But god was it good.

Morning 10 miler on my usual training route, uphill into town and back. 5 minute kilometres. Trending faster by 8 seconds a kilometre from last time.

Last night’s run was a steady pace for 50 minutes. Trying to run a steady pace without relying on my watch.

First km was a little off but the rest were all within 2 seconds of where I wanted to be. Pacing getting better 😁.

Little overcast and certainly no ☀️ as yet. But dry, not cold and more enjoyable exercise 😎

Didn't do parkrun this morning as I was in charge of 5year old granddaughter while Mrs Tenkaykev went to run Upton House parkrun. Six weeks to the 10k " Bluebell Run " we entered. Might dip under the hour 🤞

My previous post reminded me that on our visit to Nottingham we decided to do the Colwick parkrun. At the first timers briefing the guy asked " anyone running sub 19 minutes ? " When we all shook our heads and laughed he said " ok, just follow whoever's ahead of you " 😁

I've just done my first ever bleep test tonight, just one more lap and I'd have gone from the good category to the very good one, I'll know better next time.
