This is actually serious advice.
The evening before a long day ride i try to eat a veg heavy meal so i can evacuate before setting off. Particularly important in these times. I find a chicken veg stir fry with liberal amounts of turnip/swede does the trick.

In all seriousness I think all the fretting and stress about a few grams will do more damage to your rest and prep and thus performance than the actual weight ever would.
