Anyone remember 'V'?

Re-make of the show on tonight on the Sci-Fi channel,it's right up my street being a fan of other such American stuff like Lost,Flashforward,Heroes etc.
Don't remember the original really bar the odd episode(far too young)

Yes, I used to religiously watch it every week with my dad.
The remakes are always rubbish as nothing compares to the version of the original childhood memory.

Me too, Michal Ironsides starred IIRC.
I'm not a big Sci-Fi fan, but 'V' I really liked, it raised some interesting questions and for an American production was not too schmaltzy.

But why remake? The original was a blinder.

They were showing it on one of the less popular Sky channels not so long back. TBH, second time around I came to the conclusion that it didn't stand the test of time.

What gives with all these remakes ? Prisoner remake starts on Friday. I watched the first couple and have the rest, but I just didn't find it as compelling as the original. That and Lost is back which takes up an evening.

V started in the US before Xmas. I've been watching it as it came out there.

Ah OK as long as I'm watching from the start I don't mind.Although anything with Elizabeth Mitchell in it gets my vote
