Saw an article on the WWW last night saying that the Japanese F1 Grand Prix had been cancelled due to the financial climate and tariffs and the general situation in the world

VERY well written article
looked real to be fair

quite a few comments before one where someone said "Have you checked the date"
reply - "Yes - first thing I did 31st March - too early!!!!"

One of the best I have seen in terms of professional articles!

I have a cunning plan for future home-owners of our current home.....

Under the ground floor we have a crawl space with a lot of rubble and dirt. I thought of getting a cheap plastic skeleton and half burying it in said rubble and dust so that anyone that discovers it might have the fright of their lives!!!

There was a (true) story of an archeological dig in a cave, where a mate had managed to borrow a sabre tooth tiger tooth from someone he knew at the museum and managed to sneak it into the site where the ringleader of the excavations was digging. He was naturally ecstatic when he found this treasure ... then saw the huge grin on my mate's face and realised it he'd been had. All very naughty, but I can repeat the story as none of the guilty parties are still with us.

I had fun at work yesterday (hospital).

Went round all the wards on my floor with a bag of urine specimen pots and a "letter" from G4S saying that the extraction system was broken, and that an air sample was required for every room. Noting it was important to get air from all four corners of the room before sealing the bottle.

Cue a couple of hours watching nurses walking around rooms waving empty pots, explaining to patients they were taking air samples.

Best part was they sent them to reception who thought it was really urgent and so couriered several bags of empty pots to the lab in the main hospital. I got a rather confused phone call from the senior doctor in biochemistry asking what they were meant to be testing the empty pots for

No wonder the NHS has no money.
Not on 1st April, but someone did get sent to a surgical ward for 'Fallopian Tubes', which upon arrival, he requested Filipino Tubes, cue confused phone-calls back to A&E

I heard about this later, from the (surgical) Ward Manager, who is a good friend of my wife & myself (my wifes mentor, when she was training)

Important Update for MBA Bothy Users

We’ve just had some unexpected news from the National Park Authority regarding bothy use, and it’s something that will affect all of us.
Following recent planning applications related to bothies in Eryri, our activities have come under closer scrutiny. It turns out that, until now, bothies have slipped under the radar of a little-known by-law: Alcohol Restrictions in Rural Spaces (ARRS).
This by-law, originally designed to curb anti-social behavior in national parks, prohibits the consumption of alcohol in unlicensed premises—which, unfortunately, now includes bothies. Similar restrictions have previously applied to climbing huts and camping barns, but enforcement in bothies seems to be a new development.
In short: from now on, alcohol is not permitted in MBA bothies, including Cae Amos, Dulyn, Pen Rhos, and Arenig. Teabags, thankfully, remain exempt.
There are limited exceptions—most notably, wine for religious purposes.
After the dryest March in 20 years, it looks like April also is going to be dry in more ways than one..
You still keep reading and I got you thinking how to obey new rules? You got fooled, is Apris Fools!!
