WOW...so many entrants...and so many new categories to add.

While we are adding.... I suggest we need to have a category for those on a slightly lower mileage commute, but who keep it up rain wind and snow.... 5 days a week.

...So maybe if you clock up over 100 miles a week by riding every day, we should include you in a "Hardcore Tonner" category all of your own

I'll re-assess the entrants and instruct the engraver accordingly!

The shield should be back from the engravers by tommorrow Morning -ish

Yes, that sounds fair - excellent thread, jonny.

edit: can you ask the engraver to put a space between 'Absinthe' and 'Minded'?

I'm a bit anal like that.

Well my 2 mile each way hasn't made a category

How a about a Mini Roller category, runner up or Acolyte or something, just to keep us shorties happy

Can we have a "Hardcore Metric Tonner" please jonny? For those of us that do more than 12 miles a day in all weathers?

Or are we now getting perilously close to having more categories than entrants? It's all getting a bit PC and "everybody must have a chance" ..

26 miles a day minimum 3 times a week. should be working up to 4 next week and then full weeks from mid october.

The weather has not frightened me, i beat the weather.

I may have to extend my commute just to get up another category. Not that i'm competitive.

How's SimonGalgut - currently at almost 11,000 miles for the year, and position 13 on bikejournal? He does I think a 50mile round trip commute 5 days a week, and is a weekend audaxer as well. Crikey!!

I'm at 5200 miles, and position 392. Makes me feel like a nothing compared to Simon.

Lovely work Jonny.

@BM: Mwoohhahhaaa. I'm ahead of you. 5,493.11 miles logged this year on cyclogs, and I only found the site in March!

Mind you, only 2193.82 of them were commuting miles, but that's still 149 times over Anerley Hill. It is *just* a hill, but one that gets better with each attempt.

LOL, I'm not surprised you're ahead of me mate. LEL and all that training! Mine's almost all commuting, and I must admit I've skipped Anerley Hill plenty, but then Biggin Hill has just as much climbing if not more, slightly less steep though.

Yes, there is an ugly bump around the end of July

On the plus side, training rides are past now, so I'm only expecting 1300 more commuter miles for 2009, plus a few FNRttCs. Maybe 1600 all in...

Assuming you keep hitting 600 odd a month, we should end the year about even.
