Are you a serious cyclist?

I had to do a bit of Christmas shopping yesterday, i was coming back from Finchley on the fixie and was looking for a flat route home. but i came to a roundabout if i turned right it was a flat ride home, if i went straight across there was a big hill, i went straight across does that make me a proper cyclist.

I'm not a serious cyclist because I use toeclips. However that notwithstanding a fair few of the statements could certainly apply to me.
