Where is his dealership? Does he want to sell a car?Indeed. Cross posted. However, going by my cousins comments (he is a dealer) they are not a whole lot better.
Similar accusations were leveled at Skoda when I bought my first .....However I should say that they have improved since Renault became involved but it is the same people making them.
Cool, they did go massively for the taxi market.Where is his dealership? Does he want to sell a car?
I travel a lot in Russia and Turkey, where most of the Taxis appear to be Dacia. Many have done huge mileages in harsh conditions (especially Russia) and they still seem well screwed together, comfortable and the drivers rate the reliability.
Just had a browse on a Dacia forum, prompted by a bout of curiosity brought on by this thread.
It seems the Romanians themselves would rather not buy them.
Bit far away!Cool, they did go massively for the taxi market.
He is based in the north of Scotland in Moray.
yes FF, but don't come back too soon on this one, I can only laugh so much in a week without suffering pain@Fab Foodie let us know how you get on if you get to that stage
1.5dci, 80mpg as found in the Clio, Captur? It's fine. I drive a lot of them. The same obsolete Renault engine.
You see, here's the thing about cars. People laughed when I bought the C8, especially my car-boy nerd Bro in law. Despite being made of cheese it's been utterly reliable for it's current 150k miles (OK, the Air -Con has a leak .... but that's par for the course). My Bro-in law has had much more trouble with his lesser milage Galaxies and my other Bro in Law has a 35k mile Mercedes (from new) which is utter junk.yes FF, but don't come back too soon on this one, I can only laugh so much in a week without suffering pain![]()
I'm afraid it was your exasperation and the pathetic responses of these sales people that made me laugh FF and not the car quality, of which I know nothingYou can never be sure.
Sorry snorri ... wrong end of the stick!I'm afraid it was your exasperation and the pathetic responses of these sales people that made me laugh FF and not the car quality, of which I know nothing.
