In fairness, they look and sound high-tech. If I was feeling flush I might just get the credit card out.

Only £144 at Probikekit.

Edit: correct links!

Imagine if you could buy bibshorts that really looked like one of those purple baboons arses. They'd be great!

How are you creating the links?

Using the 'Inset Link' button on the editor! I used to think it was something about the link itself, some kind of weird character in the string, or something that only happened when I used the full editor, but it happens with quite ordinary links and in the quick reply editor... so I'm kind of stumped as to what's happening.

Perhaps I should raise a 'Feedback' topic?

Fast editor...

My link

Edit: nope, that's not working either

Link to CycleChat Index page

Edit: Yep, the above worked... so it's not the 'reply' function...perhaps something about the length of the link??

Full link again

Same location, tiny url

Edit: Hmmmm, now I am confused. It worked that time with the full URL! Perhaps I'm getting some crap in the link when I cut and paste it??

Are you accidentally overwriting the
Code:
http://
in the URL field in the Insert Link box which pops up?

You want to create a URL like this:
Code:
http://www.somedomain.com/some-page.html

Not like this:
Code:
www.somedomain.com/some-page.html

Are you accidentally overwriting the http://[/quote]

As a rule yes, with the full URL (i.e. with the http) as cut & pasted from the navigation toolbar. I do that to make sure it's correct! Perhaps sometimes it's NOT overwriting the 'http' in the link button, so I'm ended up with 2??

I tried that and you do get a link, but it doesn't work!

When I tried creating the link without the htt ... (etc.) it did what yours did - displayed the www. (etc.) text instead of creating the link so I thought that was probably what you were accidentally doing. If that isn't it, I'm baffled!
