Travel through the night. I used to tow a caravan from Pboro to Cornwall...about 8 hours, travel during the night, its a revelation, quietish , relaxed, not too much traffic, its a different scenario altogether.

I'm on grandkids duty tomorrow. They're only 8 miles away so it's no trouble. Besides, I can put my bike in the car and we can then have a ride around the park. And I've got some scary chocolate lollies for them (halloween theme).
