Good try, but I still want it!

I'd say its probably comparable weight wise to something like this:

Then you don't have all the hub gear, lighting .rack etc. I have the same frame but with different components and its not light. Steel frame not alloy like your Cube.
I love the way you said: "your Cube"!

The deal I've found is less than £650, it looks like everything I've been looking for and I'm hoping/not hoping all you experts out there can give me a good enough reason not to buy it (or not!).

15.7kg with hub gears, racks, lights. How does that compare with other, similar bikes?
Once you get up to speed you’ll zoom along
My Pashley is quite heavy with hub gears but great fun to ride.
You’ve added bonus of rack and lights.
Looks good.

Can anyone else see the confliction here?

I think my problem is, I've been kind of enjoying the head down thrash of the road bike but I'm slowly coming to realise that I want a somewhat more sedate cycling experience (and so does my backside).

Also, what can possibly be wrong with N+1?

My left hand drive comment was somewhat tongue in cheek, but check (no pun intended) that the brakes are UK configuration rather than back brake=right lever.
Go for it!!
