re figure 8, I presume that uses more bar tape? I note on that video that there was a fair old section of bar left unwrapped, I like to wrap much closer to the head set if possible.

just goes to show.... I've done it maybe 5 or 6 times before now... and have just made a right blox. Well, not a total blox but I'm not happy with the finish on one side. :sad:

A false sense of security set in maybe.

I'm a hamfisted spanner-mangler extraordinaire, so when I replaced the bar tape on my 'other' road bike, I was quite surprised to find it easy. I think it might the only job I've done on the bike that didn't require re-doing by the LBS.

I'd definitely advise giving it a go yourself.
