Like much beer, some is very good, as you suggest, some is absolute garbage. But the worst is nowhere near the worst from below the 49th parallel.

The beer is slightly cloudy but excellent and expensive but we’re on holiday.
All the Canadian beers are of very high quality even the canned variety too.

This weekend's offerings -

Northern Monk is a lovely piney jobbie, top class, and in a pint can as well.

Harbour is the pick of the bunch, after a few mouthfuls it was almost my new favourite all time beer. I just hope it's not a limited edition, and that Asda are stocking it permanently.

Big Job is a heavier duty version of Proper Job, very nice.

Trooper was a bit of a disappointment, a slightly more stronger flavoured old English style of IPA, and if you did a blind test and were asked to guess the volume there's no way you'd put it over 5%.
