Last night's taster, March of the Penguins is excellent tasting stout, the Aldi Coffee Stout is a bit like drinking a malty iced coffee, wasn't to my taste.

That coffee stout is another favourite of mine, along with their chocolate stout. At £1.89 for a 500ml bottle, they're good value.

It's a standard sort of stout, probably my favourite. Has been in Sainsburys for about £1.80

Off to Wexford again this week and decided to try something new, this is a lovely bitter west coast style.

More irish delights, the Wolf is the best one here, another bitter west coast beauty.

The 51st is one of those slightly opaque harsh things that always seem to irritate my throat, still didn't stop me drinking it though.

Somewhere between £3 and £4.

They're in the 4 for the price of 3 offer so I always get 4, it was around £11 in total.

All the supermarkets seem to have this offer on now, and I usually shop at Tesco but our local one has gone a bit stale now.

As I travel around for work I'll have a look in Morrison's and Asda as the have more regional variety, but one of my favourites is the big Sainsbury's in East Kilbride where I stock up on Williams Bros stuff.

Sadly the 5 for £10 Asda offer seems to be coming to an end, at least in the branch I visited today.

It was good while it lasted - think I had 4 batches so 20 cans at 2 quid a can.

They still have 4 bottles for £7 but a more limited selection.

The craft cans are now 4 for the price of 3 so not nearly as good.
