Last night i tried a bottle of that new Crabbie's Alcoholic Ginger Beer. I was very dissapointed. I'd expected it to be a little more beery rather than tasting exactly like normal Ginger Beer. It was so sweet and easy to drink that it reminded me of the old alcopop days in the mid 90's with Turner's Hooch et al.
Tonight, to make amends i bought myself a bottle of ginger beer and 6 bottles of Young's Special and a couple of ordinary and am going to have a few real ginger beers.
So, to my point. I can't get enough of Young's bitters and ale's. They are all superb and whenever foreigners come to visit, i always insist they try it as "the best beer you'll ever try". Of course they disagree (bloody lager swilling foreigners). So, anyway.....
What is the best British beer?
