My cycling shorts have done me great service but are wearing thin so am looking at replacements. They have string ties so don’t slip down my waist.

But they constantly get caught in the fold between the top of the thigh and the naval area. This causes chafing and requires constant pulling of the shorts further down the thigh to release the caught fabric.

Will bib shorts address this or do they also get caught in the fold?

I've never had that trouble with bibs. Sounds like you might have a size too big. That said, I have some waist tights that I wear for warming up before races in and they snag on the saddle nose and every time I wear them I know why I wear bibtights when the weather is cold.

wear bib shorts/longs and you'll never wear waist shorts again, good enough for the pros is good enough for you and I

never heard of any with drawstrings
