Inside my skull
Firstly my bikes have mudguards which keeps a large amount of crud off the bike. When I do wash the bike it's fairy liquid and hot water and brushes. Chain wiped with rag and oil applied sparingly as required. Bit of WD40 on bolts now and again.

actually, i am quite grown up as most people say when the see me. im quite into cycling and that sought of stuff.
i also drink beer aswell known again.
I think she was just pointing out that I encouraged an under-age person to drink beer and that perhaps I should take caution in doing so. The clue to her intentions were in the Shhhh emoticon. I'm sure no slight was intended.

If the weather's nice, go wash your bike, wait for it to dry and oil the chain nicely.

thx to some people...i have now cleaned my mtb and it now looks its brand new:biggrin:D

Some bloke that likes cycling alone
Hybrid commuter bike is never cleaned.
Road bike is cleaned after every use with a damp cloth.

Chain & Gears - parktool chain cleaner / paint brushes and diluted de-greaser, then lube up once dry
Frame / Wheels - turtlewax car shampoo
Protection - bilt hamber paste wax (use it on the cars), clear vinly film
