whats the cheapest you can get some of the 'fancier' bottle cages, not the standard metal ones. was thinking along these lines :

THIS

Il need two as well, so I dont really want to be spending more than 25 quid on bottle cages tbh.

cheers

ok found a few now, but can anyone explain why this cage is specifically a MTB one? I quite like the look of it, it would be fine on a road bike surely???

Thats what i use on my roadbike. Works for me! ;)

I don't think i will ever understand carbon cages. I want a cage to hold my bottle, without jiggling, Carbon don't do this.

Just what I need that is, I just got a red bike, and I just stuck on some matching tyres.

And it's in need of a bottle cage.

I just got a cage and bottle the other week from Evans, a specialized one. I had a flick through the website when I got home and realised it was a good few quid cheaper online, and it included energy drinks. I was tempted to take it back..

One of these.

I don't have much experience, but it's very stable and seems reasonably light weight.

i find it slightly hilarious that folk spend a wedge on a bottle cage that's a few grams lighter, only to fill it with a bottle full of water/juice. how much does that weigh? it's like having a carbon bike and putting fatty arbuckle on it.

I know, I was thinking that. Ive got a pretty light bike, but two 600ml bottles are gonna add some serious weight
