My boss (from twenty years ago) used to have a cigarette and a cup of black coffee for his breakfast. He's still going strong at 80.

So did I. Four years ago I had two-thirds of my left lung removed. One of the reasons I had a bowl of muesli with a sliced up banana and yoghurt this morning, as I do every morning.

Two poached eggs on toast, and two sausages, with a large espresso.

In the week I sometimes skip the sausages, or have a bacon barm.

No breakfast normally. But often pain au chocolat (the ones you make yourself with dough out of a tube) on a Sunday with a pot of Earl Grey.

Porridge Monday to Friday.
A croissant on a Saturday (I live just round the corner from Lidl - they do great croissants)
Poached eggs and grilled bacon on a Sunday.
Creature of habit, me.

Brose topped with linseed/fruit mix, dates and a teaspoon of maple syrup, if it's a riding day.

Sunday morning is a working morning for Mrs W, and often for me, so it's just the same as any other day (if normally a bit more leisurely) - half a large cafetiere each of coffee and either toast or muesli. I've been eating Neal's Yard Rich Muesli (now available from Holland and Barrett) for the last 25 years and more, and will carry on doing so until they stop selling.
