Get a new seat post. Drill the old one and put some bar across it to give leverage.
I’ve got a length of scaffolding tube which I’ve fly-pressed to fit snugly over my pedal wrench. May be needing to do similar here!

OTOH, it’s a bike I’ve had for 27 years, and I got it second-hand (it’s the 1993 model Trek 5200), so it really doesn’t owe me anything…

You don't really want to destroy the frame though, take it easy getting the post out.

A few weeks. How do you supposed the two parts were bonded together beforehand? Sure looked like epoxy resin to me.

Raleigh used a similar process when they released their M-Trax frames. Ti tubes bonded into steel lugs.
The sort of epoxy used for these things isn't something you'll find in Bobs Hardwear store.
