The long screw that tensions the saddle snapped today, and my local Evans didn't have a spare.

I think I'll need to buy a new screw to fix it.

In the meantime I bought a cheap saddle from them to get me to and from work etc.

The saddle (and the bike) are less than 2 years old so I wondered if Brooks will repair for me under warranty?

Does anyone have any similar experience?

A couple of photos attached.

Contact Brooks. I believe they have been known to supply replacement bits FOC, if the saddle's not ancient.

A similar sized nut and bolt and a couple of washers from a hardware shop will suffice if you do not want to pay out for genuine spares.
You could try your LBS to see if they have any scrap/ old saddles lying about?

I would have thought that the bolt was faulty as it wouldn't have been under much strain. It's not as if it was seized. You could contact them showing your pictures to see what their response might be.
