Calories on Strava

My cheapo old gym bike had a computer which displayed 'calories burned' based on how fast I was pedalling. Unfortunately it was not connected to the friction brake so I got the same reading when pedalling at a given cadence with the brake off as when I had the brake so tight that I could barely turn the cranks!
