Can anyone reccommend a new chain ring set for my Giant Expression LX?

I don't know quite enough about bikes to be sure I'm buying the right one. The specs are here on this page:
https://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-gb/bikes/model/expression/11459/55629/#specifications

"Crankset: Prowheel 28/38/48"

It doesn't need to be anything fancy but the middle chain-ring is badly worn and damaged, looks like someone really hammered it.

Can you not just replace the chainring rather than the whole crankset?

Give SJS a call

Or spa

Thanks Vickster. I don't really need to give SJS a call, they could probably hear me shouting from my bedroom window. :-D
Looks like chainrings are a bit expensive, but on eBay I'm seeing complete sets for under £25, but I don't know what's what. I guess the safest way would be to take the bike over to SJS or show them the chain rings.

I've run into a little hiccup; I don't know how to remove the crank. To get that plastic cover (the thing that looks like a German Iron Cross in the middle) off it looks like I need to remove the crank arm or something, but my crank extractor doesn't fit in the hole.

Square shaped thing in the middle; the end of my crank extractor is too big to go in the hole.

EDIT EDIT EDIT.. Never mind, I figured it out. Reading the instructions helped.
La, la la, la, la, la, please pretend I didn't type any of this.
