The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
Is it possible that that figure is simply wrong? Maybe? Why doesn't someone go into SD with a luggage scale and weigh one?

I'm not too sure but i think they only have them online? I've done that before with the luggage scales in bike shops. They seem to take it as an insult, but i don't see the problem if you're willing to spend many hundreds if not thousands of pounds.

I agree. I cannot see the problem. I really don't see why manufacturers, or even the bike shop itself, can't or won't weigh each and every bike they supply, and label each one. And if they aren't willing to do it they shouldn't object.

Indeed! And it's a lot quicker test/check than most of the stuff they should be doing when they unpack a bike and put it on display or sell it.

An insult? I can imagine they might be annoyed if you weigh every single bike for a magazine article, but for personal buying what's the problem?

Thank you (and google) for this. How's the alchemy going. Any gold, or indeed green?
He hasn't succeeded. I know that because there is only one philosophers stone, and I've got it.

I did weigh about half the bikes in the shop. So maybe they thought i was an annoyance, but like i said, you want to make sure before you spend your hard earned money.
