I've been considering the wheel upgrade option.

From a looks perspective, I love the look of deep section carbon rims. But then I want as light as possible. Torn.

Also a bit more 'comfort' from the carbon element of things.

To get the 58 mm version I would have to get the carbon/alu version clincher with alu brake track & these are heavy at approx 1800g so aero benefits are cancelled by the weight gain.

Carbon wheels are not more comfortable to ride.

On anything under about 4-5% or rolling, aero trumps weight.

I'd get a new bike before spending that much on wheels!

Wheels still look like boring round things, the deep dish things are especially ugly ;)
You really need to try some real lightweight wheels, i recently bought Deb a pair of fulcrums and she cannot believe the differance :whistle:
