Ended up with a Nelson Longflap in the end. Probably overkill for my summer commute gear but it's nice to have the option of bringing home a more awkward load in case I have any parcels delivered to work. SO much better than wearing anything on my back and I didn't feel like it messed with the handling at all. After doing some measuring I decided my saddle would get in the way of most rack packs so that made it an easy decision.
