Chainstay Protection...

What's the best to use, i'm looking for something to put on my white road bike, so that rules out those big lizard skin things, ideally i'd like clear stuff, but can't seem to find anything suitable, it all seems to be black stuff about, any ideas ?

What about copter tape from here -> http://www.justridin...=481&product=73 I have some to put on the frame where the cables rub but I havent tried it yet so I dont know what it is like.

Lizard skins do a clear one, not sure how well they fit on road bikes though as I haven't got one

System X do a clear one, just their name on the end.  Sticks well to Ti so I expect it'll stick to anything, mine has been on a year, fairly thick plastic, haven't needed it so far so can't say how tough it is..

Google 'chainstay protector clear' - over 8000 UK results ...... I use a 'carbon fibre' one (black), and I am sure I have seen a white 'carbon' one too.
