It struck me as I was looking back over some of the older threads on here and I found one of my posts from almost a couple of years back https://www.cyclechat.net/threads/should-i-go-recumbent.147540/ that I have been fannying around asking questions and generally dithering over he decision since then.

Just thought I'd say cheers for the help seeing as tomorrow I'm gonna be one of the recumbent crew .

Even installed a wall anchor and bought a motorbike lock today so that my tt bike and my wife's bike can go in the garage , then the trike and it's winter rollers can live in the lounge :wahhey:, or that seems to be the conditions of the deal with the fun prevention officer...

Looking forward to a good few years of triking fun once I'm master of the vessel.

Cheers again guys

Fat at the moment as I'm not doing enough long aerobic sets :mrpig:, just hope the interval and threshold work will pay off next tt season .

In all seriousness though, my new long distance vessel is a catrike 700. She is already booked onto a 300 and 400 early next summer, so the rollers and Netflix will be seeing some action when the frosts come.

Well ?????????? :hyper:

He's got caught I some traffic today, so revised eta is 7-8 ish.

On the plus side, it's meant I can get the tea on ready for when Mrs P gets back. I'm thinking brownie points will soften the blow when she sees how much of the dining room the trike is gonna inhabit

I used to run a 700. Nice bit of kit, and when you've built up your muscles, you'll be whizzing past those roadies with a massive grin. Also a lot of fun in the corners, but I did have mine up on 2 wheels a few times when I got over enthusiastic......

I'm interested to know whereabouts he is based in Edinburgh. He appears to be in a shopping centre right in the middle of the city.

Once you've got the tea made … the evening is yours ! :wahhey:

Yeah, I'm looking forward to my first scalp!

I think I've seen a couple of your vids of you 700 on YouTube on my trawl over the last few weeks. Think I'll watch her in the corners for a while!

Yeah, me too. Cryptically when I was talking to him on the phone a week or two ago he said he does "other things thank sell recumbents". Maybe he has another shop in town selling something else??

Yeah, I don't think I'll be going to bed early, need to get her set up for her first outdoor ride tomorrow eve after work!!
