I've ordered myself a book about passementerie and a couple of kits for making strange things ...
There's nothing I actually need, and not much that I desperately want, so something that makes me think 'oh, that's interesting, I wonder if I could make it ...' is a nice little treat for myself.
I might buy myself a non-Christmas pressie in late winter/early spring, in the form of an electric wheel for my bike.

I would like anyone I care about to ask me to build them a bike from scratch.

Maybe a tourer for Ms AU or a fast steel bike for older son, or an upright Raleigh for younger son. I'd do a custom paint job, build the wheels myself, get the gearing perfect. It would be great.
