Bit nippy nora this morning (first frost and ice i've seen this winter) so wanting to get geared up for the impending colder weather.

Any recommendations for cycling leggings/trousers that'll keep my goolies a tad warmer? Also, ditto on warming up my tootsies.

Overshoes or sealskinz socks for your tootsies.

As for keeping your goolies warmer. Any Roubaix bib tights/shorts will do ya. DHB are highly recommended.

I use merino long johns to keep the legs warm, then trousers or tights over the top depending on what ride I'm doing (commute/training etc.). Overshoes are great at keeping the feet warm, good quality merino wool socks help retain heat.

Might try sealskinz - only concern is i'll have to wash them every night as i'd probably only be able to afford one pair!

If keeping the cost down, then overshoes as you'll need more than one pair of socks, but they should dry overnight.

You can get different weights of bib tight fabrics, some have windstopper panels. In the real cold I use some Biemme Bibs, with windstopper material over the knee, front of thigh and around the kidney area. They work a treat, but they aren't cheap - £60 plus. If the temp is above freezing, I use standard roubaix bibs.

I only use SealSkinz if I know it's going to be wet. On very cold days, normal M&S thermal socks with a good pair of neoprene type overshoes keeps my toes toasty.

Loads of folk like winter boots and swear by them. It's not a cheap option though, as you are looking at upwards of £100.

They are Merino wool, you don't really need to wash them every day. Just change into a normal pair of socks at work if you are commuting.

i use Roubaix tights from Corinne Dennis and bbb neoprene overshoes from Wiggle. Get some good gloves too. And a skull cap. Cheap ones on wiggle.

I have a Decathlon pair with wind proof panels which keep the chill out, I picked mine up for £20 end of season, not sure how much they are full price but Decathlon stuff is generally reasonably priced and good quality.
