That's easily rectified, send somebody else!

FWIW (which won't be much), I've cried at Watership Down and got a lump in my throat in one or two others such as Armegeddon and Brassed Off (of all things, but there are personal reasons for that one).

All about Edward Earl Johnson, innocent as one could be. I saw that when I was about 15 and it had a profound effect on me. Definitely one of the hardest hitting documentaries of the 1980s.

The Grapes of Wrath is my favourite novel and has had a massive influence on me too.
The scene where Rose o' Sharron (sp?) feeds the starving man is one of the few times I've cried reading a book.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is another film/book combo I cried at!

I was never bothered too much by the programme - too obvious and smaltzy for me, but I love the theme. It's a great song to have on the list when you're out riding for the day....
