The scene where Rose o' Sharron (sp?) feeds the starving man is one of the few times I've cried reading a book. All about Edward Earl Johnson, innocent as one could be. I saw that when I was about 15 and it had a profound effect on me. Definitely one of the hardest hitting documentaries of the 1980s.
The Grapes of Wrath is my favourite novel and has had a massive influence on me too.
The theme music from The Littlest Hobo can set me offProtesting too much BFF, bet you used to blub like a gurl at stuff like Little House on The Prairie or The Waltons.

+1, not sure about listening to it when I ride though, might not be able to see thru my tearsI was never bothered too much by the programme - too obvious and smaltzy for me, but I love the theme. It's a great song to have on the list when you're out riding for the day....
