computer problem - continual reboot

Have you tried to see if Windows XP recognises the disk on an install? If you go though the install and terminate the install when it shows the disk it shouldn't over write anything on the disk

I haven't got any farking money though.

To top it all, my laptop screen died today. It's been dying for a while but it chose today to cark it properly, then the desktop. Stronger men than me would weep. Luckily I've got this huge toshiba cast off thing to moan about it all to you lot.

When son laptop did this he lobbed it out of the bedroom window, didn't fix the problem, but was very satisfying.

If it is a ram problem it should say so but you might try eliminating each stick by restarting with a different stick removed if it has multiple sticks of ram. I would probably just start by trying a stick in the main memory slot, then try another.

Edit: Unplug the computer if you try this. ;)
