I doubt any sandal wearing Guardian reading tree huggers would take them on, although some of the Extinction Rebellion types seem partial to destroying property - provided it belongs to somebody else.

I've seen a lot of examples of people making the claim you made, but precious little to support it. That's part of why I posted what I did about convenience.
