Hi all! it might be a silly question but this kind of thing I am doing for the first time so please forgive me
I am building my first bike and now I am in the middle of installing shifters (Tiagra 4700). But I cannot find information how the end of gear cable should be positioned in the 'gully' in the shifter?
In official Shimano instruction it is written 'Insert the cable in such a manner that the inner end is attached
to the unit.' - but it doesn't show how 'deep' it has to go inside the chamber? For the right shifter it goes till half, but for the left - doesn't seem to get in and is poking out - please check pics.
Cables were bought specifically for this type of groupset. Any clues what am I doing wrong?..
Also chambers for cable end on both shifters look a bit different so I am confused - is it supposed to be or something is broken (I have uploaded pics - sorry for finger tips
).
Thank you in advance!
